Jose Mourinho has rated his Inter side a 10% chance of winning the Champions League and claims the scudetto will be open this year.
I think its just Mourinho playing his mind games again, I'm sure that if Inter go into the winter break on top of the Serie A we will here all the 'zeru tituli' stuff again.
I also think that his reluctance to say that Inter will win the Champions League or at least that they are going to make the Champions League the primary objective, suggests he isn't massively confident his squad can win it.
We all know he replaced Mancini because Moratti wants to win the Champions League, we know that's Mourinho's goal. So why does he shy away from stating it himself? He is clearly dampening expectations because he doesn't expect to win at the moment.
I'm not saying Inter won't win the Champions League. I think their squad looks better on paper than it did last year, though there are questions about whether the new players will settle in well or not, as there always is. I'm just surprised Mourinho isn't more confident.

Mourinho has been confusing the hell out of me this summer. Seems like this particular spat is a shout out to Moratti that he still needs more players. But he hasn't really spoke on any players he feels they need which is confusing. I personally think they need an AM to replace Figo. Even if Mancini and Quaresma don't flop again this season, they play their best out wide which leaves Stankovic and Cambiasso as the main midfield playmakers.
Im not so sure they need anything other than a bit of luck.
Last year they got drawn against Man U in the first knock out round, but if they had have got an easier draw and got further into the knockout rounds they could have been a lot tougher to beat.
Ibra's inability to score in Europe, for whatever reason, hurt them too.
Know they have Eto'o and Milito, if they settle in properly, they will score a fair few goals even without an AM.
Though they could do with an AM to add depth and create more tactical options.
